Last week, I was bed-bound with an incredibly mild case of the flu, fearing for my life.
At my lowest point, I lay there, wallowing in my own squalor and self-pity, casting my mind back to those dizzyingly euphoric moments where two, or (on occasion) three of you, engaged with my content. Oh, what a buzz. The fame. The sense of acceptance. That sweet warmth of dopamine.
Gimme gimme more.
So I asked Daisy to help poll Instagram to see whether the desire for more of this content was burning as great an itch among its audience as it was within its writer. The results? Well, they speak for themselves.
It turns out there is absolutely no demand for it.
Now while I must admit to initially feeling somewhat befuddled by these results, I did, of course, graciously accept the outcome.
But then, a few minutes later, I wondered whether it’s actually maybe better to treat this like a real democracy. Like one of the ones you see and hear about on the television or read about in newspapers. That’s to say, sure, everyone is allowed a vote. Be my guest. Knock yourself out. But be under no illusion: I, in my position as metaphorical kingmaker, will get to decide whether the result of the ballot is correct or not. In this case, well, clearly it is not.
So there we have it, long story short: we’re back. Or at least we will be. Normal service will resume. In 7 days.
The countdown has begun.
Prepare yourselves.
Clear your diaries and tune in then as I attempt to bring you up to speed on events from my last post in September 2022 to today.
Buckle up, or unsubscribe.

Yesss!! So so great! I want to read everything. Where are you, how you picked where to be, how it's been. We're considering doing the same. I'm originally Italian but fled to the UK at 18 and I'm wondering about going back one day in an unusual way :) would love to absorb everything and more about what you're up to!
Don’t stop writing!!!
